Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved Pakistan’s new halal meat export policy during a high-level review meeting. The decision aims to strengthen exports and increase Pakistan’s share in the global halal market, with a clear focus on the halal meat export policy as a key economic driver.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister directed the relevant ministries to present a comprehensive three-year action plan within the next two weeks. This plan will outline practical steps to boost halal meat exports and improve overall performance in the sector.

He emphasized that Pakistan must adopt a strong and well-planned strategy to make its presence valuable and competitive in the international halal meat market. According to him, without coordinated efforts, it will be difficult to achieve long-term export growth.
